Humanitarian Outreach

I love what I do in Scottsdale, AZ so I can do what I love in other countries and cultures. As a humanitarian and naturopathic physician, my true passion lies in traveling to developing countries and offering my help, compassion and humanitarian outreach to those in desperate need. I have always loved learning about and experiencing other cultures…their food, music, beliefs, traditions, etc. After living in Cameroon, West Africa while I was in the Peace Corp, I knew that my life would always include traveling to (or living in) developing countries. There is something about the rawness and simplicity of those countries and cultures that deeply resonates with me.

In the past few years, I have been fortunate to travel to Ghana, West Africa, and Mozambique, East Africa to offer humanitarian outreach to the people of those countries by introducing them to naturopathic medicine. I traveled to Ghana with an amazing organization called Peacework Medical Projects (www.peaceworkmedical.com). In Mozambique, I am the medical director of Rebecca’s Home, an orphanage supporting 48 beautiful children in need.

Below are some pictures that I took of these trips…enjoy!
